Programs for Adult Women: Our basic 5 hour training offers women the opportunity to raise their awareness, enhance safety skills, and gain inner confidence and outer strength. Women explore issues through discussions and activities and take on every day troublesome interactions at work, home, and in the public, learning to set boundaries and de-escalate situations. Physical self defense skills taught include strikes and grab defenses, are practical, effective, and fun and accessible to all regardless of physical conditioning or ability.

Mother Daughter Courses: In this class, young women and the important women in their lives share generational points of view and gain verbal and physical safety skills that will help both to improve relationships and assess, reduce, and address potential risks. The class can be adapted for a range of age groups including 10 to 12 year olds, 14 and up, and college women.

Young Adult programs: Prevention. Action. Change. partners with non profit agencies to offer a range of programming for young men and women who are homeless or transitioning out of jail. These courses offer youth opportunities to reflect upon and gain awareness of the impact of violence on their own lives and gain tools for healing, self calming, and addressing stressful and triggering situations.

Children and Youth Courses: The Children’s Safety Class is a 6 week curriculum for elementary aged children focusing on safety awareness and skills and involving the whole school community through teacher training and parent workshops. Workshops are also offered for Girl Scout Troops and middle school groups addressing relationship issues, cyber safety, and a range of verbal and physical defense skills.

Lunch-n-Learn Workshops: One hour presentations include: Effective Communication in the Workplace, 4-Elements of Communication, Dealing with Conflicts, Day to Day Self Defense, and Child Safety.

Professional Development: Field and Office Safety Training for Staff encompasses safety assessments, identification of barriers to safety, boundary setting skills, de-escalation, and physical defensive and containment skills. Violence Prevention Skills for Clients and Participants offers staff concrete activities and exercises to help clients gain confidence and safety for daily living.

People with Special Needs: Violence prevention workshops designed to address the needs and concerns of persons with visual or hearing impairment, developmental disabilities, and/or mental illness.
